Nike's Doernbecher program allows children and teenagers design their own shoes as part of a collaboration with OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. While the program has gone on to spawn several popular colorways, the Air Jordan 2 High 'Doernbecher' represents the very first. Designed by Sheridan Brenton, who survived a car accident that required more than 40 surgeries, the shoe emerges with a Pro Gold and Lucky Green reimagining of Michael Jordan’s second signature shoe that features a paisley design throughout. Representing Brenton's school colors, the shoe also has 35 perforations on the forefoot as a nod to his jersey number and black lizard skin detailing on the side panel.
