The sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Tour Yellow” was part of a collection of debuting colorways of the design that combines elements of Nike’s modern Vaporfly and retro Air Pegasus '83 runners. A December 2020 release, the VaporWaffle in “Tour Yellow” follow’s sacai’s collaborative ethos with Nike that does everything in “twos.” Like the sacai x Nike LDWaffle from 2019, the VaporWaffle has two layered Swooshes on either side of its mesh mid-panel—in this case, one in Stadium Green leather and the other painted in white against the Tour Yellow mesh upper. Buttery mustard yellow and green suede overlays can be found on the eyelets and toe, respectively. The same shade of green is used on the leather panels that appear on the back of the shoe. Dual sacai and Nike detailing in black text is located on the heel overlay. Two sets of laces sit above a layered white mesh and black nylon tongue design. Sacai designer Chitose Abe finishes off her collaborative VaporWaffle with a stacked cream colored midsole that splits at the heel. Release date: December 17, 2020.
